Liquid Mixing Tank Introduction

The design and configuration of the liquid mixer can be standardized and humanized according to the requirements of the production process, which is usually composed of the mixer tank body, the mixer tank cover, the agitator, the support, the control panel, and the electric part.

Mixing tanks are usually available in three structures of tank body:

 

1. Single-layer mixing tank

The wall of a single-layer tank mixer has only one layer and is usually used only as a container for storage, mixing, blending, and reaction.

 

2. Double-layer mixing tank

The double-layer mixing equipment is also called a jacketed mixer, which comes with a jacket layer that can be used for heating, cooling, and insulation. Heating methods include steam heating and electric heating. The double-layer stirring tank transfers heat to the material through the medium in the jacket, which has a fast heat transfer speed and a safe and hygienic process. However, care needs to be taken to prevent burns when heating a double-layer mixing tank, and the heat of the tank is easily volatilized .

 

3. Three-layer mixing tank

The three-layer liquid mixer is a melting pot with an agitator. by adding a layer of insulation on the basis of the double-layer mixing tank, the outer layer is used for heat preservation, and the middle layer is used for heating or cooling. This structure makes the inner cylinder material heat evenly and has a good insulation effect. The three-layer mixing tank is usually made of rock wool or polyurethane as insulation material, and the outer layer is a stainless steel outsourcing layer, which is beautiful and practical.

FAQs

Can the agitator speed be adjustable with VFD?

Yes,the agitator mixer is equipped with frequency converter. Speed can be variable by adjusting the speed regulation panel. If you want to save cost, or not variable speed is needed, there is no need to add VFD device.

Can you explain the heating principle? How does it achieve heating purpose?

The jacket tank transmits heat to the liquid through the principle of heat conduction, and the heat medium in circulation between the inner wall and the jacket is responsible for conducting heat and transferring the temperature of the jacket heat medium to the liquid product.

How to cool down fast? When the products is finished,the temperature is high, it takes a long time to get back to room temperature!

⦁The fast way is by using an external chiller to convey the cooling medium (usually cold water) through the pipe into the inner jacket,through water-circulation system to cool;

⦁Another way is directly continuously taking cooling medium (usually tap water) into the inner jacket of the agitator tank from inlet, and drain it from outlet to take away the heat.

What’s the maximum temperature it can get?

Steam heating: 100~180℃; electric heating‌: use water 100℃, use thermal oil 260℃.
